Joyce Wong passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 in the Palliative Care Unit at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 57.
Joyce is survived by her father, Eugene; sister, Joanie (Trevor), brother, Jason (Tamara); nephews, Jacob and Noah; nieces, Naomi and Aubrey.
She is pre-deceased by her mother, Mimi.
Joyce was born in Hong Kong to Mimi and Eugene Wong and was the eldest of three children. After immigrating with her family to Canada at the age of 5, Joyce attended school in Richmond and eventually went on to study at the University of British Columbia.
Joyce began her career as a pharmacist at Safeway, progressing to pharmacy manager of various Safeway pharmacies over her 20 years there. Subsequently Joyce transitioned to managing pharmacy services at Pacific Blue Cross and then most recently at Express Scripts Canada.
A memorial service is planned at 10:30 am on April 25, 2026 at Ocean View Funeral Home in Burnaby to celebrate Joyce’s life.
