Kar Fat (Fred) Ku, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2014 at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 79. He had bravely fought ALS after being diagnosed in 2009. Fred is survived by his wife, Lui Chu; his children: Jeanie (Bruce), grandchildren Ryan and Sarah; Henry (Patricia) and granddaughter Samantha; Amy (Doug) and grandchildren Colin and Tara; his sister Lung Ku (Siu Ching Lai) and nephew Peter (Sue). The service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC at 10:00am on Saturday, October 4. A reception will follow the service at 12:30pm.
