We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Karl on Thursday, November 21st, 2013 after a brief illness. Karl was born in Finland and came to Canada in 1951. He married Elsa and they had 3 daughters. He was very loving and very proud of his 3 daughters, Karla (Pat), Karen (Don) and Karel; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Brook), Tommy (Melissa), Kristi (Neel), Matthew, Katelyn, Kevin and 2 great-grandsons, Grayson and Julius. Karl also leaves behind his longtime companion, Ragni Sundvick and her 2 sons, Dan (Sharon) and Gary (Audrey); the Sundvick grandchildren, Michelle, Dallas, John, Josh and Kristen and his buddy Yogi. A Celebration of Karl's life will be held in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby) on Friday, November 29, 2013 starting at 4:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
