Born in Fiji, grew up in Vancouver, she attended Killarney Secondary and graduated from UBC with an honours in Computer Science. She travelled and worked in Europe, before returning to Canada to take up teaching positions at Langara, Malaspina College, and BCIT. Seeking a position more suited to her personality, she completed the nursing program at Vancouver Community College, and over the past thirty-four years working at St. Paul’s Hospital, has made a difference in the lives that she has touched, helped and cared for.
Kathy will always be remembered as an intelligent, independent women, a role model for young women everywhere, especially for her nieces. Known for her generosity, with charitable work and donations; her baking skills, with her infamous cheesecake; and her sewing prowess, with the Halloween costumes, graduation dresses, and cherished Christmas gifts. She will forever be loved and remembered.
A Celebration of Life will take place as soon as it is safe for friends and family to gather. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Paul’s Foundation. If you wish to donate to Kathy's memorial page, please use the direct link below.
