It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother and grandmother Klara. Predeceased by her husband Karel and her brother Joseph Krscanski. Survived by her son Steve Rupar (Teresa), grandchildren Lindsay and Mark, sister-in-law Marija Krscanski, nephews Joe and Tony, nieces Margie (Doug) and Vera and their families, as well as relatives in Vancouver, Croatia, Germany, and Slovenia. Klara emigrated from Zdenci, Croatia in 1956, landed in Halifax and travelled to Vancouver the same year. Klara started her working career in the early 1960’s building boats for Sangster Craft and finished her career at VGH as an elevator operator in the 1980’s. Klara loved gardening and cooking, and would do anything for her grandchildren. She was loved immensely and will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby. There will be no service as per her wishes.
