Jim arrived to Castlegar, BC in 1971 and was working at then the Hi-Lite Restaurant owned by Yorkie Mah (no family relations at all) until he took full ownership of the restaurant in 1973 and has operated the same restaurant and under the same name for more than 45 years with his wife Amy until 2018 when they both retired and moved to Vancouver.
Survived by his wife Amy, daughter Judy and son Johnny.
A funeral service for Kwok will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1.
Kwok will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Garden of Love section, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia V5G 3M1.
