

Loretta Way Yin Lum (nee Loo) passed away peacefully on April 5, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in Guangzhou, China on April 1, 1927, Loretta spent most of her years as a Canadian citizen residing in Vancouver where she and her husband Albert Ting Gee Lum raised their five children. She will forever be cherished by her older sister, Wai Chang Lo; her son John (Pat); daughter Queenie (Aaron); son Boris (Debby); son Martin (Elaine); and daughter Doris (Jeff); her ten grandchildren: Charmaine and Shannon Lum; Naomi, Nathalie and Jordan Con; Maya and Cameron Lum; Robert and Andrew Lum; and Melissa Young; two sisters-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Albert, her sister Dr. Lou (Maria) Chi Hong and her brother Dr. Lo Kin. "Lum Popo" also leaves behind her beloved and extensive church family at the Chinese Presbyterian Church, and many many dear friends.
All are invited to gather with the family to celebrate Loretta's life on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Chapel (3789 Royal Oak Ave., Burnaby, B.C.)
