Mara is predeceased by her husband, Petar, and her youngest son, Dragi. She is survived by her son Marko (Dragica); grandchildren Dragan (Ana), Petar (Mina), Jelica (Darko); and eight great-grandchildren.
Though dementia gradually quieted her voice, it never dimmed the warmth of her spirit. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, her strength, her smile, and her pita.
We are extremely grateful for the caregivers who supported her with compassion throughout her final years.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th at 10am in the Chapel of Ocean View Funeral Home 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby with burial to follow. Reception will be held at Balkan House.
