Mario Muoio

It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Mario Muoio on February 27, 2026, at the age of 91. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Fulgida; his sons Gino and Frank (Carla); his treasured grandsons Sebastian, Roman, and Cruz; his sisters Rosa and Gina; his sister-in-law Clara; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Franco.

Mario was born on January 22, 1935, in Mendicino, Cosenza, Italy. On March 21, 1964, in his beloved hometown, he married the love of his life, Fulgida. Soon after, the young couple immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, where they built a beautiful life grounded in love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family.

A creative and highly skilled tile mason, Mario contributed his craftsmanship to many homes and buildings throughout Vancouver. He was a perfectionist in his work, known for his precision, artistry, and unwavering standards. His work remains a lasting testament to his talent and dedication. Strong in character and spirit, Mario approached life with determination and quiet pride.

Above all, he was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud Nonno. His three grandsons were his pride and joy — his greatest legacy. His favorite moments were spent at the family table, sharing Fulgida’s home-cooked meals surrounded by family and friends. These gatherings filled his heart and defined his happiness.

Mario will be forever remembered for his charismatic smile, his strength, his craftsmanship, and the deep love he had for his family.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
