

Evelyn Linnea Kershaw (nee Antilla)- Born in Dunblane, Saskatchewan on March 22, 1915 and passed away peacefully in St. Paul’s Hospital on June 13, 2011 (many thanks to the hospital staff). In the late 1920’s Evelyn’s family moved to Francois Lake, BC (near Burns Lake). Her first job was with the BC Forest Service Office in Prince Rupert. Her earlier years were spent in Kitimat, followed by a move to Prince George where she was employed as an accountant, then later as the Controller of an Auto Dealership. She retired in 1980 and came to Vancouver. She married Stephen (Steve) Kershaw in 1986 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church of the West End and Yaletown. The next 25 years were happily spent together. A special thanks to all the staff and congregation at the Church over these years. Evelyn is survived by her loving husband Steve, and her niece Lyn Armstrong and husband Joe of Falkland, BC. Also extended family William (Bill) Kershaw and his wife Susan and son Stephen of Toronto, Catherine (Cathy) Kershaw of Vancouver, Elizabeth (Liz) Holleran and her husband James (Jim) and sons Tyler, Curtis and Jeremy of Toronto. Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (1130 Jervis Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 2C7). Refreshments to follow in the lower hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or to a Charity of your choice is appreciated.
