He is survived by his loving wife Martha, his children Dianne (Danny), Shirley (Tom), Roger (Jill), Lydia (Doug), Roland (Sandy), sisters Jeanne and Helen, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His early work life was spent on the CPR "Princess" ships, which was followed by a long career in the hotel and pub industry. In his retirement years, he was happiest being surrounded by family while sharing a meal or playing cards. He belonged to many community centers where he enjoyed bridge and attended luncheons. He led a colourful life with a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Thank you to the wonderful nurses, doctors and support staff who took care of him during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can go to the offering of Masses for those in need, or to the charity of your choice. Prayers will be held Friday, November 25th at 8:00 pm at Corpus Christi Church, 6350 Nanaimo St, Vancouver, BC. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at the same church on Saturday, November 26th at 12:00 noon.
