Mauricio Benederio Solacito Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Silvina and children: Jojo (Isa), Evelyn (Alfredo), Henry (Imelda) and Ernie (Mel); 10 grandchildren: Christine (Marvin), Chris (Renette), AJ, Sasha (Fabian), Jade, Daniel, Carlo, Danica, Jasmine and Kelsey, and 4 great grandchildren: Milan, Cairo, Mayan and Madrid.

Including his stepsons Carl (Eula - JP) and Celso (pre-deceased) (Elvie - Katherine, Elvin). His brothers & sisters: Margarito (Rita - Mylene), Jose (pre-deceased), Cosme (pre-deceased) – Melia, Cornelio (pre deceased), Eusebio (Dina - Jackie & Russell), Pedro (Rosa) and Nemia.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many, young and old. He will be deeply missed and loved forever.

Mauricio will be remembered for his relentless determination and for being hardworking, patient and extremely selfless who put his wife and family before himself. He was a ‘Jack of all Trades’, who tirelessly helped work on his children`s homes. He was an inspiration to all of us.

He was also a respected and dedicated member of INC Church. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and always kept up-to-date on the news in the Philippines.

Our family is truly grateful for all the support from many friends, the doctors and nurses at VGH, the Palliative team at South Vancouver Health unit, the wonderful team at Vancouver Hospice, to our extended family for their unconditional love for Mauricio.

You will be missed dearly and you will be forever in our hearts!
