Dear Aunt May:

Sine I married to your niece Milcah, I find you always is happy, generous, caring and very hospitality. I will miss your cooking, home made Chinee cakes (especially the white carrot cakes), the sticky rice and other good dishes but specially the happy times that we spent in our family gatherings.

Aunt May, I know you and Uncle are Christians for many, many years so to me you only is migrating from earth to eternity to be with uncle, JESUS and GOD so I know we miss you but we also know we will be together later in eternity singing and praising GOD forever.

So goodbye for now and rest well in JESUS's arms.

Dear Kai Ma,
All these years, you didn't speak much. Yet, the love language you spoke strongly to us through the signature food you made would be well remembered.

The quality moments we spent together with you over festival meals each and every year would surely be missed till we see you again in heaven.

The assurance of salvation for you and knowing that you
are now with 'Kai Yeh' in the presence of the Lord are the greatest comfort to us. 

Enjoy your time together with 'Kai Yeh' at the Communion Table with God!

My aunt May was a foodie - she claimed that she could reproduce anything she had eaten, from restaurants, other family's meals, or any other venues.  She definitely had enthusiasm to study cooking, though she was good at her professional life, nursing.  I remembered that when I was young, when she visited us in Taiwan, I needed to have some shots, and she did it for me, and I could hardly feel any pain during the shots - she was so quick.  When we still host our extended Thanksgiving celebration, before COVID, everybody who attended looked forward for her Chinese sticky rice risotto, and she made so much that whoever wanted to pack for lunch would get their fill.  I will forever miss aunt May, and all the wonderful recipes she developed!

I have known Ah Yee for many years. She is a great cook and have enjoyed many of her delicious dishes. I will miss her smiling face and hospitality. RIP

We could not go for dim sum at Whistler and settled for a sandwich and water. We had a great time even though the mountain was fogged over with smoke due to a fire somewhere close by.  She looked really great and happy.  Ah Yee, i would not forget the trips we took with Joe and Julie; we had a lot of fun together in Greece and Turkey and in South America.

I always have a loving feeling towards Ah Yee, whom i inherited from good friends Julie and Joe from Toronto. I was fortunate enough to stay with her the time I had my high school reunion at Victoria Island.  Remembered mostly how good a cook she was, her  hospitality, good naturedness, and kindness.

Wendy and I always visited "Yee Yee" whenever we came to Vancouver. Her love of life and exuberance was  a memorable experience. Taking her out for Dim Sum was a simple joyous occasion and we knew her favorite would be the Durian tart at the end. We shall miss her demure smile.

We have fond memories of our time together, she was a wonderful lady with much warmth & many interesting stories, her cheerfulness & smile will be cherished and missed. And there are many lucky babies delivered by her superb  professional midwifery training and care. ..

阿姨 is like a mom to me.  As long as I can remember, she is always there taking care of me and my siblings. As I grow up, I come to know and appreciate her even more.
She is a hard working person and studying to become a nurse. It's not a small feat in those days when the financial means is virtually non-existent. She will give us shots during the flu season or whenever the situation calls for. She is a very caring person.
She is also a very talented person when it comes to cooking.  Throughout the years, her dishes have received ravings, wows and more wows from the family and friends.
A loving memory I will carry in my heart forever.

I met Auntie May in Hong Kong during the late 50s . Her niece Julie was my  high school classmate and I frequently visited Auntie with Julie.
Auntie and Uncle were very hospitable. Every visit with them we were treated with a banquet. Auntie was a very good cook. Her dishes were legendary.  Julie always critiques the food in a restaurant: "not as good as Auntie 's cooking" 
Auntie was such a kind person. Though she is gone, her smile and kind words always linger in my heart.
Love you Auntie.

I come to know 阿姨 thru my wife Julie who is her niece. We visit her and her beloved husband Richard almost every year. Throughout the past 40+ years, we travel to many places together and have a great time.
White at home, we have enjoyed very many delectable dishes she cooks for us. 阿姨 is such a wonderful cook. She can recreate the same dishes by simply studying them at the restaurants but can do it much better. We always joke to her that she will be a Michelin Star chef only if she wants to become one.
Those were the wonderful times and thanks for the memories. 阿姨, your cooking will be greatly missed but your virtue and grace will forever be in our memories. Take care and say hello to 姨丈 when you see him.
