Muoi Vuu

Muoi was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and the eldest of four siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, De; her mother So; her children Michael (Cristian), Tony (Sara), and Helen (Anthony); and her cherished grandchildren Hannah, Autumn, and Madison.

In 1984, Muoi and her husband made the difficult decision to immigrate to Canada, leaving behind everything they owned in Vietnam to provide a better future for their children. In 1986, Muoi took a ferry from Victoria to Vancouver, holding a newspaper in her hands and speaking no English, she landed a job as a seamstress at a factory on Water Street in Gastown. Through her hard work and determination, she ensured her family always had a roof over their heads and food on the table. Muoi was also known for her generosity and kindness to everyone around her.

While our hearts mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.

A funeral service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park, located at 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC, V5J 1A4, Canada, on January 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of our mother.
