Nicola Giammaria

Nicola Giammaria was born on June 4th 1945 in Casacalenda, Molise, Italy. Surrounded by his loving family, he passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2025. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Michelina of 55 years, and his loving daughter Annamaria. Nicola was predeceased by his beloved son Gianfranco. He leaves behind daughter-in-law Denise and three grandchildren Dante, Mauro, and Alessia. Nicola was also predeceased by his brothers, Angelo, Pasquale, and Arnaldo. He is survived by his sisters Ausilia and Elena, and brother Giovanni and their families. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and several family members and friends here in Vancouver, Montreal, Australia, and Italy. Nicola was a very humble and kind man, who’s strength never failed to amaze us. He was deeply cared for and loved by those who knew him and he will forever be remembered and carried in our hearts.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. McFee, Dr. Lakha, Dr. Walker and the nursing staff at North Shore Hospice for their loving care. We would also like to thank Dr. Canderle, Dr. Rastin, and the wonderful Home Care staff for the many years of care provided for Nicola.

Viewing will be on Thursday, December 11th at 6:30 - 8:30pm at Bell Chapel Funeral Home, 4276 Hastings St, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, December 12th at St. Helen's Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park - South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.
