Born April 14, 1924, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Jack and brother Leo. Survived by sister-in-law Edith, niece Catherine, nephew Michael, and many cousins. Born in Powell River, Nives grew up in Ocean Falls and lived most of her life in Vancouver. She will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by all her family and friends. Special thanks to all the staff at the Villa Carital for their compassionate care. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. on Monday, March 16th at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Fathers of St. Charles celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Parkinson's Association would be appreciated.
