

She went to live in Langley, BC with her eldest son and daughter-in-law in 2017 full-time, following a brain stroke. Nora was born March 21, 1936 to Louie Moon Tin and Lee Too Tsui in Zhongshan, China. Nora came to Vancouver, Canada in 1957 and married the late Pat Bak Ying Lum on October 10th, in the same year.
Nora was predeceased by her loving husband in 1995. Nora is survived by her four children, Philip Lum (Gloria), of Langley, BC; Wanda Weston (Mark), of Calgary, Alberta; Tony Lum of Quadra Island, BC; and Lance Lum, of Burnaby, BC. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael, Christoper, and Jason Lum, and Alexandra and Patrick Weston, along with six great-grandchildren, Landon and Logan; Makayla and Connor; and Rhiannon and Easton.
Known for her generous spirit, Nora was an avid gardener, wonderful cook, and an astute business woman, who ran several grocery store businesses with her husband. Nora’s many hobbies included singing, dancing, practicing Tai Chi, and generally keeping active. She also enjoyed playing mah-jong, dining out, and travelling with her family and friends.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and inspired by her independent spirit, strength and wisdom.
The viewing ceremony will be held Thursday, Aug 4th, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5G 3M1. The service will take place Friday, Aug 5th, 2022 from 1 PM to 2:30 PM in the large chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5G 3M1, followed by the outdoor burial at 2:45 PM.
A reception will follow at 5:30 PM at the Joyful Seafood Restaurant, #150 - 5665 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC to celebrate Nora’s life.
Flowers may be sent to Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family asks in lieu of flowers, to make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the BC Cancer Foundation.
