Gloria, Esther and Alan regretfully announce the sudden passing of their beloved mother, Patsy Yu on 10 October 2021, from a stroke.
Patsy was born in Hong Kong, attended Sacred Heart Canossian College and graduated Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Hong Kong, a notable achievement at a time when few women were so highly educated. After marriage to our father Dr Yu Ping Kong, who was a University Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering and raising three children (two doctors, IT manager), Patsy went to live in Vancouver among family and friends after our father passed away. Following her first stroke, she returned to Hong Kong where she was comfortably cared for by her daughter Esther.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be forever reunited with her husband and parents in Forest Lawn. Her beautiful life will be cherished in the hearts of her children and their spouses, and grand-children James, Laura, Katrina, Natasha, Daniel and Sarah.
Our mother will be forever loved and remembered and we appreciate the love and support of all relatives and friends at this time.
