Our hardworking and gentle Father, Peter George Mar, passed away quietly and peacefully in the early morning of Friday, December 14 surrounded by loved ones. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, three siblings, James (Amelia), Emily (James) and Connie, children Peter Jr. (Lily), Dennis (Catherine), Bradley (Claudia), Greg (Susan) and June (Rob), nine grandchildren Carolyn (Kevin), Joanne, Brendon, Ian, Amanda, Kristie, Christopher, Marilyn and Kyle, and great grandson Lincoln. He was born in Fiji and immigrated to Canada in 1966, where he settled and raised his family. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby). A very special thank you and gratitude to the caregivers and staff at George Derby Care Centre who made his final time supported and comfortable.
