Joan Barnes(Wyatt), Phil's older sister is so sorry for his passing but knows he has left pain behind and is ina better place.

Phil and I worked together for many years. He regularly attended all of our softball games, and was a welcome addition there and at the pub afterwards.

Dear Philip and Michelle... I met your dad in 1960 and we became friends. In 1963 he invited me to move into their home, with your mother's consent, and I lived with them until I married in 1965. Philip, you may remember being at my wedding, with your parents? It was a big day for me, and I was thrilled to share it with your family. Your dad was a very special person; his skill at repairing cars helped me more times than I can remember and his invitation to move in was over the top, this showed how caring a person he was. I am sad to read of his passing but the great memories will last forever.

Just heard of Phil's passing last night. I cannot express how sorry I was to hear the news. I have golfed with Phil at Country Meadows and shared a beer or two with him at the Fleetwood over the years. He was a great golfer. We didn't call him Fairway Phil for nothing. He was a man with a great sense of humour and used his hearing aids as an excuse to pretend he didn't hear a thing. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.
