

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved Mother, Nonna & Great grandmother, Pia Francesca Mascitti. Born in Celano p. L’Aquila, Italy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 yrs. Argentino in 2017. She is survived by her loving children, Laura (Frank), Diana (Frank), Roberto (Monika) and grandchildren, Michael (Elaine) Kyle (Alexa), Brandon, Giordano, Angelica, Simona, & Sasha. Great grandchildren, Argentino, Frankie, Lucia and Sienna. Pia is the youngest of 14 children and last to survive. Predeceased by her parents Ristituta Scarsella & Loreto Angelosante also predeceased by her adult siblings in Italy Arnalda, Giuseppe, Oreste, Maria, Bice & Emma, Loreto in Venezuela & Lina in Vancouver. The Love that has been expressed from her many nieces, nephews from Italy and Vancouver, relatives and friends was incredibly heartwarming to our Mother, thank you! Our Mother was the most loving, generous, hard working woman with an amazing zest for life. She lived her life dedicated to her family with unconditional love. Mamma, Rest in Peace, and know that you will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
A visitation for Pia will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, British Columbia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Helens Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, British Columbia. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, British Columbia.
