REGINA DI FONZO (nee Pecchia)

Regina passed peacefully in the arms of her husband and family on May 1, 2020, at their home in Vancouver, Canada.

Regina was born on October 8th, 1938 in Campodimele, LT Italy to Maria and Domenico Pecchia, who predeceased her along with her sister, Ilda Di Fonzo and her son-in-law, Antonio Greco.

Regina moved to Vancouver to join her fiancé, Pietro and they wed on May 28, 1960. They purchased their life- long home in East Vancouver to raise a family. She is survived by her loving husband, Pietro and three daughters, Giovanna (Guiseppe), Amalia (John), Sabrina, her sister Erminia Pecchia, brother-in-law, Giovanni Di Fonzo, many nieces and nephews and her tiga, teeg, Rocco.

Regina was a loving and generous soul who took great pride and joy in her family and was happiest when they were all together.

A viewing will be held at Bell Burnaby Funeral Home on Wednesday May 6, from 4pm-6pm. Due to the current mandated restrictions regarding attendance at gatherings, a Funeral will he held with immediate family only, at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum. An announcement for a celebration of her life will be made at a future date. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory, may do so to the B.C. Cancer agency.
