Born August 14, 1914, at home on McKay Avenue in Burnaby, died October 7, 2013, at his care home in Surrey. Predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Jean, who passed away in August of this year, and his son, Ron, in 2008. Survived by his children Bob (Judy), Cheryl (John), and Bruce (Judy) as well as five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Reg met Jean while they both worked at Gibb’s fishing tackle and were married February 15, 1941, in Vancouver. He worked for some time at his father’s store, “The Wigwam” on Granville and Cordova, then many years as a clerk for the federal government at the Board of Grain Commissioners and the Department of Transport, retiring from there. Reg and Jean lived about 40 years near 41st and Victoria Drive in Vancouver. Family service to be held at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC.
