Roberto was born on October 30, 1937, in Bagnoli Del Trigno, Italy, where he lived hard times through the Second World War. He met the love of his life and beloved wife, Anna, of 67 years. From his early years, Roberto knew the importance of family, integrity and hard work which helped him overcome all obstacles, accounting for his strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support of family and community. In the 1960’s, the family moved from Bagnoli to Legnano/Milano, in northern Italy. In 1976 the family relocated to Canada and settled in Burnaby. Roberto again started with very little, but with hard work, determination, and his family by his side, he created a wonderful life in Canada. He was very proud of “Roberto Meat Market”, the business he founded in 1980. Roberto was a founding member of the Italian Cultural Centre, where he volunteered countless hours to the community. In his retirement, Roberto enjoyed spending time with his family, making wine, and travelling abroad, including trips back to his cherished homeland of Italy.
Roberto led a wonderful life, he was loved and respected, and will be greatly missed.
