With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosario Ciulla, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, on February 5th, 2025 at the age of 92. Rosario was born in Siculiana, Sicilia, Italy. In 1964, he courageously immigrated to Canada with his beloved wife, Anna, to build a new life. Together, they settled in Vancouver, where he nurtured his family with love, hard work, and unwavering dedication. Rosario found joy in life’s simple pleasures—gardening, hunting, and playing cards and bocce at Confederation Park.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna, his son Joe, his daughters Josie (Joe) and Lina (Shawn and his children, Amedeo and Bianca), and his beloved grandchildren, Danielle, Tianna, Luke, and Isabella. He is also survived by his brother Angelo (Franca) and brother-in-law Franco. Rosario was predeceased by his dear sister, Paola.
His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St.Helen’s Catholic Parish, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery - South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in Rosario's memory. (https://kidney.ca/).
