Mrs. Sarah Victoria Weir

WEIR- Sarah Victoria passed away into the presence of her Eternal Father unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2012. Predeceased by her husband Samuel in 2000 and her mother Vera in 2002. Sarah will be deeply missed by her children Vivienne (Allen), Patrick (Karen-Jane) and Karen; grandchildren Sarah Anna, Samuel and Jane; brother Edward “Cliff”; cousins Carmen, Fredrick, Cyl, Teslyn and Sally; also by nieces, nephews and her many other relatives and friends. Born in St. Ann’s, Jamaica. Sarah emigrated to England where she met and married Samuel. They came to Canada in 1966 with their two children. A year later they had their third child. Sarah will be remembered for her strength of faith, loving and caring nature, kindness and her ability to make friends among all she touched.

Sarah began her working career at Cadbury Chocolate in England, and was a dietary worker at Shaughnessy Hospital and George Derby Centre for 27 years. She enjoyed travelling with her family especially to her Jamaican homeland.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 18 at 10:00 am at Willingdon Church 4812 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby.
