After graduating from high school in the 1950s, Mrs. Lim bravely overcame many obstacles caused by the political environment in China at that time. She met the love of her life, Lim Len Kong, they emigrated to Hong Kong shortly thereafter, where they married.
In the 1960s, with the help of her brother-in-law George Lim, Mrs. Lim assisted her husband in starting a small factory in Hong Kong. Mrs. Lim’s strong personal skills, authenticity and warm disposition was instrumental in the success of the business.
In the 1990s, Mrs. Lim retired and joined her daughters in Vancouver, Canada. The business in Hong Kong was continued by her son, who recently retired. In Vancouver she wholeheartedly embraced her grandmother role, while capturing opportunities to assimilate the Canadian culture - learning to speak English and making friends at her grandchildren’s school community. She enjoyed watching golf and K-drama on television with her late husband of 70 years, spending time with friends, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and traveling the world with her children. She had a keen interest in real estate investment and in world politics.
