Shigekiyo Mizuyabu

Shigekiyo Mizuyabu passed away peacefully at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital in Vancouver at age 92. He is survived by his wife Shiori, his children James, Marion A. (Vincent), Glenn (Laurie) his grandchildren Rachel, AJ, sister Keiko, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Shigekiyo was born in Nanaimo, B.C. to parents Tsunejiro and Moto who emigrated from Mio village, Japan. He was interned during the Second World War with his parents and five siblings at Lemon Creek, B.C. Later, after starting his own family he lived in Scarborough, Ontario, and Burnaby, British Columbia where he worked as a Certified General Accountant for many years.

Shigekiyo was fond of fishing, mushroom picking, skiing/snowboarding, and karaoke singing. He will be sorely missed by his family.
