Sik-Wah Steve Lai

Steve was known for his quiet nature, wise words, quick wit and sense of humor. Immigrating to Canada in 1988, he took on a career as a baker, sharing his happiness through his baked goods to friends, family and neighbor alike.

Steve loved photography and traveling. He had a keen eye for beauty and captured much wonder through his lens. From the " Big Ben" in London, to the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, or to the simple alleyways leading to Brentwood Mall, the snapshots in his life continue to inspire all those who view them.

Steve is survived by his immediate family of his wife, Jonna Sau-Yee Kwok, his two sons, Holman and Holden Lai, his daughter in-law, Monica Li and his grandchildren, Miranda and Ethan Lai, who will forever cherish his memory. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Wendy Wong, Dr. Lai Sek Fai, Ginny Wong, Vanessa Leung and Marvin Lai and many other extended family members.

A funeral will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC on November 16th 2024 at 10:00am.

There will also be a visitation the day prior on November 15th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
