She was predeceased by her sisters and brother: Sor Paz, Lilia, and Msgr. Doming Galicia.
Born in Naga City, Philippines, to Gavino Galicia and Silvina Duran, Coring was the youngest of four children. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Nursing and began her career in obstetric nursing at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in New Jersey.
After starting a family in Chicago, they moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. There, Coring devoted her life to raising her five children, eventually settling in Vancouver, BC, where she remained the heart of the family. A deeply caring and devoted mother, Coring, alongside Fred, worked tirelessly to give their children a strong foundation and to inspire them to live meaningful and purposeful lives.
Whether she was travelling the world or enjoying a lively afternoon at the casino, she had a joyful spirit and a deep appreciation for life. Above all, she treasured her family, and the memories she created with them will be held close in their hearts forever. We are deeply grateful for her love, care, and unwavering presence in our lives. She will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC in her memory.
