It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tony Marzitelli. He is predeceased by his father Giuseppe in 2005.
Tony is survived by his loving family, wife Marisa, sons Robert and Nicholas, mother Lina, brother Luigi (Luciana), niece Angela, nephews Joe and Marco, his mother and father-in-law Carla and Gianni Zalunardo, and sisters- in-law Daniela (Marino) and Sandra.
Tony was born in Morrone del Sannio, Italy and immigrated to Vancouver with his family in 1967. Tony graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Business Administration degree and subsequently achieved his Certified Management Accountant designation. He distinguished himself as a professional accountant over the years and was the Controller at Pacific Coast Terminals in Port Moody. Tony was very passionate about hockey but above all his greatest joy was the time spent with family and friends. Tony was a generous and valuable contributor to the Italian Cultural Centre, serving on the Board of Directors for 17 years and many of those years as the Society's Treasurer. His honesty, integrity and friendly nature endeared him to the many people who will miss him greatly. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Helen's Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby on Tuesday April 13th at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum.
