Veljko Macesic passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on August 26, 2013 at the age of 72 years. He is predeceased by his son Zlatko Macesic. Veljko was the last of 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving family, wife Vinka, children Nedeljko, Evelina (Lui) Miljanovic; grandchildren Maya, Monika and Marica. Special thank-you to St. Paul's Hospital Doctors, and nursing staff; Mandy, Shannon, Kate, Shelly, Scott, and his family physician Dr. Neumann, and many family and friends. Prayers will be offered 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church 3105 E. 1st Ave. Vancouver, BC where Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC.
