Bill passed away on September 25, 2011 at the age of 84 years. He is predeceased by his son Allan Sawchuk. He is survived by his loving family; wife Olga of 61 years; daughter Shirl; grandchildren Geoff (Kelsy) and Andrea; great-grandchildren Tanner, Ethan and Colin; brother John (Arlene) and nephew Murray. Special thank-you to staff at Burnaby General Hospital, ACE and ICU wards. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby, BC. Interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
