Wilson passed away peacefully at his home in Vancouver on Sunday, November 7 in his 97th year. He is survived by his wife Wendy, her children and granddaughter and numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife Marge in 1990 and their young daughter. Wilson was born in Treherne, Manitoba to Frank and Flora Parker. He was one of 8 brothers raised on the family farm. After leaving the Armed Forces, Wilson embarked on a long career in the Hotel hospitality business. Starting in Winnipeg and moving to Red Lake, Ontario, in the 50's he and Marge moved to Vancouver where he was a partner in the Hildon Hotel on West Cordova. As fate and good health would have it, Wilson, in fine spirit, flew with Wendy to Prince George to attend the Parker Family Reunion in August. His passing marks the end of a generation of the Parker family. A viewing will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Tuesday November 16th at 6:00pm to 8:00pm with Inurnment to follow on Thursday 1:30 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Garden of Reflection
