January 7th, 2017 – Coquitlam, BC
It is with great sadness that the family of Woon Kam Ng announces the passing of their beloved mother on Saturday, January 7th, 2017, at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Ng had passed on her legacy of giving and unconditional love to her family. Kam will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Woon Yeung Ng and her three children, Marie, James (Li Yan), and Ken. Kam will also be sadly missed by her brothers, Joe (Lai Chun) Chang, and Bob (Jean) Chang.
Kam married Woon Yeung Ng in China in 1950 and then moved to Hong Kong in 1953. Kam gave birth to three loving children. The whole family immigrated to Canada in 1974, to be reunited with many of her relatives and to better nurture her young family. Kam attended South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church for years and by God’s amazing grace was baptized in June 2015. Her interests included sewing, singing, watching hockey and traveling. She had also devoted much of her time and energy to her mother until she passed away at the age of 100.
Although she had endured years of illness later in life, her spirit of strength and courage kept her pressing on until her last breath. She was lovingly cared for at home until she returned to her heavenly home. She will be deeply missed by her husband, only daughter and two sons, family, friends and all who knew her personally!
A Funeral Service in memory of Woon Kam Ng will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and followed by a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. A reception will be followed at the Fortune Seafood City Restaurant, 2800 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver at 12:30pm.
