

Pre-deceased by his wife, Chili and children Lily and Paul. He will be forever missed and remembered by his sister Jane (Jung) and family, his daughter Mary Chan (Wilfred), daughter in law June and grandchildren Steven, Lauren, Jessica (Matthew) Jared and his great- grandson Roland.
Yu Man departed from this world leaving a legacy of love, hard work, and unmatched wisdom. His unwavering commitment and sacrifices will forever be remembered with gratitude.
One of Yu Man’s most remarkable qualities was his unbelievable memory, which remained sharp until the very end. Despite lacking a formal education, he was an embodiment of intelligence, constantly surprising those around him with his depth of knowledge and keen insights.
A skilled artisan with a versatile set of talents, Yu Man was a master with his hands. From being a machinist and mechanic to excelling in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, seamstress work, and gardening, his abilities knew no bounds. He was a testament to the notion that true expertise comes from a passion for learning and a hands-on approach to life.
Standing as a little man with a big heart, Yu Man was known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others. Friends and neighbors often turned to him for advice and assistance with various projects with which he never refused.
As we bid farewell to Yu Man, let us celebrate the extraordinary life he lived, the love he shared, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who knew him.
The Celebration of Life will be held on December 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm. at Ocean View Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
