It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of 林日金 Yat Kam Lam on February 3, 2026, at the age of 97. 林日金 Yat Kam Lam was born in Ma Wan, Hong Kong on February 15, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1976.
She was preceded by her husband Kay Choi, eldest son, youngest daughter Holly, and son-in-law Peter.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three surviving children: Linda, Hung Hei (Hsing Ying), and Simon (Connie); 9 Grandchildren: David, Ellison (Chris), Cindy, Matthew (Lizette), Kevin (Shu Fen), Benjamin, Katherine, Anthony, and Kelly; and 4 Great-grandchildren: Sara, Declan, Andrew, and Carmen, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Her life left a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her love will continue to be felt through the memories she created and the values she passed on.
A funeral to celebrate and remember the life of 林日金 Yat Kam Lam will take place Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral home.
