
Billie Louise Taylor Fisk, passed away on June 30, 2015. She was born January 21, 1920, in Kempner to Elzy Whitis and Kate Casber Whitis. Billie grew up in and around Kempner and attended school there until she married Jimmie Taylor at age 15. Later she went to beauty school to become a beautician.
During the late 1930’s and early 1940’s Billie owned and operated a beauty salon on the square in Burnet. Afterward she still worked for many many years as a hairdresser. Billie loved flowers and enjoyed growing them and keeping her flowers and yard looking nice. She loved dancing and still did until just a few years ago. She also loved her kids and grandkids.
After Jimmie Taylor died in 1985 Billie later married Elmon Fisk in 1992. Elmon passed away in 2005. Billie lived in her home on Hamilton Creek Drive until a year or so ago when she moved to Oaks Nursing Home.
Billie is survived by her daughters Donna M. Smith and her husband Charlie of Bertram and Saundra G. Holstin of Burnet. Also surviving are her grandchildren Todd, Troy, Michelle, and Camille and great grandchildren Jamie, Ashley, Presley, Maddison, Marshall, and Maverick and special friend Richard Lowery.
A graveside service and burial for Billie will take place at 10am Friday, July 3, 2015 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram. Condolences may be offered to www.clementswilcoxburnet.com
