Bruce Robertson

Bruce and his family moved to Big Spring where he grew up and went to school. He left school early when he joined the service and was in the Navy Air Corp. Bruce married Shirley Robbins in San Angelo on April 6, 1947, and were married for 68 years.

Bruce worked in the construction business as an iron worker in and around Arizona. He and Shirley moved to Inks Lake in November 1978. Bruce was an active member of Buchanan West Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and playing softball on the church league.

Bruce is survived by his wife Shirley, daughters Robbie Weaver of Austin and Karol Willard of Burnet; grandchildren Chris Willard of Austin and Kandi Ray of Bertram; five great grandchildren Sunni Crayter, Matthew Parker, Austin Parker, Talon Willard, and Colton Willard and two great grandchildren Brooklyn Crayter and Tatum Crayter. Bruce was preceded in death by two sisters Helen and Mamie and a brother James and son-in-law Dan Willard.

A Memorial Service for Bruce will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 11:00 am at Buchanan West Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Collister officiating.
