

Cindy was born on October 20, 1953 in Lovington, NM to Gladys and Larry Crouse. She graduated from Lovington High School, class of 1971, and received her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Math. Cindy married her high school sweetheart, Phil Holt, in 1973 and they lived out their love story for 43 years of marriage. Cindy began her teaching career in Norman, OK and continued teaching for 36 years in Las Vegas, NV and multiple schools in Texas before retiring from Burnet High School in 2012. For 12 years Cindy teamed with Phil while he served as the Worship Pastor at Hill Country Fellowship. Cindy fiercely loved the Lord, her family, and her friends, constantly encouraging and teaching everyone she met.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Phil Holt, son and daughter-in-law, Kendyl and Josh Holt, daughter and son-in-law, Cami and John Krystyniak, grandchildren Caden and Caleigh, sister and brother-in-law, Cristy and Steve Johnston, brother and sister-in-law, Cary and Kathy Crouse, mother-in-law, Thelma Holt, and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Larry Crouse.
She has entered the presence of her Savior and left us all with love, generosity, compassion and service to be felt for generations to come. She leaves behind a legacy that her family and friends are proud to humbly carry on. Serving our Lord by serving others, trusting God in all circumstances, and keeping our eyes focused fully on our Lord and Savior each day.
Should there be an interest in doing so, the family suggests memorials be donated in Cindy’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
Any gift given to a nonprofit of the donor’s choice in her memory will be treasured. We also ask that you consider donating blood or platelets in her honor for all the lifesaving transfusions she received over the past year and a half.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 5,11:00 am, at Hill Country Fellowship Church, Burnet, TX.
