Edd Raymond Cole

Edd Raymond Cole, born October 18, 1941, passed away at his home October 28, 2010. He was born in Houston, Texas and lived most of his life in Odessa, Texas. Edd was in the first graduating class of Permian High School. After high school, he served in the US Navy in the mid 60’s and was honorably discharged in 1968.

He was a Boy Scout leader for many years; Troop 74, in Odessa. He retired from Curtis 1000, Inc. in 2006, after 39 years. After retirement, he and his wife Gail moved to Burnet, Texas, near Lake Buchanan. In retirement, he enjoyed boating, fishing, meeting new friends, serving the community and being involved with East Lake Fellowship Church.

Edd was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nancy Cole, brothers John and Charles Cole. He is survived by his wife Gail, brother William Cole and wife Ann, sister Nance Reynolds and husband Mark, sister-in-law, Lee Ann Cole, daughter Shawn Stringer and her husband Donald, sons Brian Cole and wife Jennifer, Jay Snocker and wife Jenny. Edd and Gail have 6 grandchildren: Kelsey and Hannah Stringer, Austen and Alysha Cole, Daniella and Phoebe Snocker and great-grandson Parker Cavender.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at East Lake Fellowship church, 12318 RR 2341, Burnet, Texas, 78611. Those wishing to, may send flowers or a donation to East Lake Fellowship church.
