It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Dee Carter. Frank won the ultimate race into Heaven on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 54. He was born on November 8, 1969 in Taylor, Texas. From an early age he followed in his father’s footsteps and developed a passion for boat racing. Through the years he won many awards and several championships. Most importantly, Frank was always willing to help others and his infectious personality allowed him to form fast friendships and gain the respect of peers and competitors alike.
Beyond the racetrack, Frank Carter was a successful businessman owning a number of businesses over his lifetime. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with family and friends. Frank was known for his kindness and generosity, and he had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. His laughter was a source of joy to those around him and will forever live on in our memories.
Frank is survived by the love of his life and wife, Carrie Carter of Bertram, his sons Ashton (Scotty) Carter of Volente and Derek Read of Liberty Hill; two grandchildren Easton and Elena; his mother, Linda Carter, of Volente; brothers Steve Carter of Volente, Mike Carter of Volente; and his special sidekick, Canyon. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Michael “Mike” Carter.
A celebration of Frank Dee Carter’s life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10:00am at Hill Country Fellowship Church in Burnet, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either: Racer’s Emergency Support Program, PO Box 75808, Phoenix, Arizona 85087 or through their website at www.racersesp.org (http://www.racersesp.org/) or Trinity Racing Ministries, 7013 Bradley Road, Mounds, Oklahoma 74047 or www.trinityracingminstry.org (http://www.trinityracingminstry.org/).
Frank’s spirit and memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we say goodbye, we remember him with fondness and gratitude for the indelible mark he left on our lives. There is no doubt Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him and who called him friend.
In closing, we provide two scriptures we hope will provide peace during this difficult time.
Romans 8:18 For I consider the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who are labor and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
