He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson (Jack) and Zora Finch Darington.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Brit) Moloney Darington, brother Buddy Darington (Jo Beth), step- daughter Shannon Dimino (Damien) and their sons, Rome and Troy Dimino, step-son Scott Stolz (Arra), nephew Andrew Darington and niece Kim Theodos.
Geryl worked for Texas Commerce Bank in Houston, Texas then was CIO at Bear Stearns in New York, NY before retiring and returning to his beloved home state of Texas. He was an avid Astros fan and also enjoyed playing golf with his friends in both Michigan and Texas.
