Margie Nell Alexander, 95 of Burnet and formerly of Austin passed away January 15, 2019. She was born in Henly to Ida Elizabeth Herwig-Twidwell and Athol Doman Twidwell. Margie had 9 siblings who have all preceded her in death. Margie leaves behind her daughter Betty Worrell and grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Margie spent 20 years working at Dirty Martin’s Kumbak in Austin. Margie truly cherished the memories and friends that she made during her time at Dirty’s. Her family has many stories to hold onto and pass on from these years of her life. Margie spent her last year enjoying Bingo with friends and Oaks Nursing Home in Burnet. Margie really enjoyed her time spent with the staff and her friends this last year.
Visitation will be held Sunday January 20, 2019 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Austin Memorial Park (200 Hancock Dr. in Austin) at 10:00 am, with Robert Lovelady officiating.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Burnet Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 1548 Burnet, TX 78611 in her memory.
