Ramiro “Ray” Montemayor, Jr. age 56 passed away at his home in Burnet May 23, 2014. He was born September 4, 1957, in Corpus Christi to Ramiro Sr. and Maria Gonzales Montemayor. Ray served in the Navy from 1977 to 1982. Ray loved to Barbecue, was a fisherman, enjoyed NASCAR, football, and reading novels.
Ray is survived by his wife Rosa Montemayor and three children, Sergio Hernandez, Jennifer Marie Montemayor, and Ramiro Antonio Montemayor. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Octavio, Anissa, Martha, Noelia, Abel, Elias, and Sergio. Ray is also survived by one brother Johnny Montemayor of Kerrville and three sisters Gracie Bravo and Lily Gonzales both of Austin and Starr Garcia of Brenham.
A visitation for Ray will be held Wednesday, May 28 at 6pm with Rosary to follow at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, May 29 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet.
