

Robert Jesse Gray passed peacefully from this life and lovingly returned to Our Lord the morning of May 19, 2016, after a gradual decline in health. He was supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.
The youngest of two children of Robert Laverne Gray and Joann Goodman Gray, Robert Jesse Gray was born in Ennis, Texas, on Tuesday the 13th of December 1955.
Jesse married Amy Muccigrossi on Friday the 19th of December 1986 at Fort Bliss Army Base in El Paso, Texas and they spent the next four and half years on his military tour in Germany. Jesse was presented the USAREUR Sergeant Morales Award for his outstanding military career and leadership skills as an NCO. After the Army, he moved the family to Burnet, Texas, in 1996. Jesse’s strength came from his love of God, country, and family.
Jesse is survived by his wife Amy of Burnet, Texas; daughter Jessica and husband Michael of Round Rock, Texas; daughter Amanda and husband Bill of Cushing, Oklahoma; son R.J. and wife Jecole of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son Bryan of Burnet, Texas; his adopted son Scotty B, of Burnet, Texas; and adopted daughter Heather of Burnet, Texas. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, a multitude of friends and the very special extended family, the Pope Family of Georgetown, Texas and the employees of Pope Materials.
Viewing was held at Clements – Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas, and the memorial service was held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, on Monday, May 23, 2016. A special thanks to Kindred at Home Hospice, Reverend Jack Emert for officiating the memorial and to Clements – Wilcox Funeral Home. Jesse's family has asked that memorial contributions in his memory be made to Wounded Warriors.
