Vicente's legacy started on October 27, 1940 in San Antonio, TX. as the third child of Mr. Federico A. and Mrs. Maria De La Neives (Mendoza) Gonzales.
Growing up in a large family, Vicente helped as a field laborer, traveling with the family where work took them working with other families. It was in this environment that Vicente met Miss Augustina Arellano and they married April 4, 1964 in San Antonio, TX.
Vicente worked as a heavy equipment operator, as well as a commercial vehicle driver for the City of San Antonio and the San Antonio Water System for 30 years. His work ethic and love for his family continued with him throughout his life. He was a "big brother" to many and a father figure to others, as an example of wisdom, understanding and courage. He enjoyed listening to his "conjunto" music into the wee hours of the morning. His love of fishing and hunting, along with his spouse, brought him to the Hill Country for retirement. He is well-loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
