Barbara Jane Gallion passed at 12:25 AM on Saturday January 26th, 2013 at the Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, California. She was a very special lady, wife, mother and grandmother and we will miss her dearly.
Barbara was born to Helen and Kurt Duffield at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon in 1936. She married optometry student Delano Max Brown in the late 1950s. They lived in Georgia during his tour with the U.S. Army.

Upon completion of Delano’s degree they settled in Fall River Mills in Northern California. He established three thriving practices in the towns of Fall River Mills, Burney, and McCloud. She had two children with Delano; Scott and Todd.
Barbara became a fast friend of Babs St. John and Paulette Gooch. One morning the three sat quietly in Paulette’s kitchen playing Scrabble and drinking coffee. “What are we going to do?” asked Barbara.
“You mean what are we going to do when we grow up?” asked Paulette.
Each declared a career. Paulette opted as court clerk for Judge Bill Phelps, JD. Babs a school teacher, Barbara Jane decided to become a realtor.
Such A Loyal Friend…
Paulette remembers, “Barbara always had my back. I knew I could always depend on her when the chips were down. And she proved it time after time.”
Babs remembers,
“She maintained her post on the sales floor with intense daily devotion.”
Barbara Jane decided to become a realtor. She passed her real estate agent exam.
She began working with Seitter realty in Burney and in Fall River Mills. Barbara acquired her broker’s license and opened her own operation within a few years.

This firmly established her local dominance. She spent over 40 years pursuing her sincere passion of helping families find the perfect home.
Dr. Brown was consumed by throat cancer in 1982.
Barbara married Rudy Gallion in 1983. They enjoyed a loving marriage throughout.
She was fiercely loyal in the attendance of any of the kid’s sporting events. Barbara was everybody’s favorite partner across three local bridge clubs.
