

Esther was a homemaker, a great cook, and was hospitable. She shared her home and table with many relatives and friends, missionaries, evangelists, and pastors. She enjoyed going with Blue on hunting trips. She loved rock hunting, fishing, camping at Shasta Lake, Eagle Lake, Trinidad, and Oregon and Idaho.
Preceded in death by husband Robert “Blue” T. Avery, granddaughter Rhonda Lynn, sister Alice, brothers Jake, Buck, and A.J.
Survived by son Troy Avery of Carson City, NV, daughters Vermeice Turner of Redding, CA, Ruby Chaplin of Grangeville, Id, brothers Oscar Nichols and J. T. Nichols, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren.
She was a charter member of First Baptist Church in Burney.
