Blanche Dykstra, 104, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; daughter-in-law, Mary Dykstra; and her four siblings.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Susan (Don) Herrema, Gregg (Rose) Dykstra, Barbara Blouw, and Thom (Martina) Dykstra; grandchildren Deb and James, Dan and Becki, Kim and Joel, Patti and Dave, Melissa and Paul, Brandon and Amy, Geoff, Andrew and Emily, Annaliese and Alan, Leah and AJ, Derek and Amanda, and Adrian and Danielle; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, plus another on the way.
Blanche volunteered at Byron Center Christian School for thirty plus years as an aide and retired at age ninety-nine. Blanche lived by her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
A private family service has taken place with her pastor and friend, Ron Noorman, officiating.
